HR department provided the best experiences of life. It is a perfect way to start the carrier. Not only it laid out a path full of opportunities but also helped me expand my skill set and be an asset to the company. The experience in Hr department paved my way in other fields which I exploited later in my life.
I did not want to start my life on a low. I dreamt big and always aspired for success. I explored different carrier options. I did not realize that my first step would be in a totally different field. Without giving a second thought I switched routes. But I was astonished by the large array of opportunities that the new path offered. I started with a small role and as the company evolved, the role got bigger than before. While tackling a large number of problems, I stumbled upon something rather unique. I forged a solution which was later adopted by the entire company. People saw my specialized set of skills and a door full of opportunities opened up.
Trends
Nowadays, people are very aware of their carrier. The literacy rate has increased. As a result, people look up to have a great start of their carrier. For this, they take up higher education, specialized courses. But it is not that the jobs which one opts for after college have to bear relation with his or her academics.
The Unsettling and Adventurous Start
I was a student of journalism. While in college, I realized that in order to succeed in this field I had to start from zero. This implied that I had to move to a small town, work at a low salary and gradually work up the ladder of excellence.
I did my internship at Red Frog. For the next two years, I was completely immersed in work and started soaking experience in event execution, organization and various other fields. At the end of the internship, the company hired around 50 to 150 interns. They had a void in their HR department. I opted for that position and from that day onwards the future took a different shape than expected. I started looking at the internship program thereby adopting a mentor/manager role. Slowly and gradually the company started growing and we reached a point where we could focus primarily on the permanent employees. I started applying my experience to the full-time employees, thereby adopting the lead role in the HR department.
The journey in the HR department was filled with learning chances. One of the major things that I have come to learn from my extensive carrier journey at the hr advisory services department is taking initiatives. One should not be afraid of new opportunities and always be ready to grasp it. I learnt from my boss that its okay to make mistakes. I continued developing in my field by grasping the opportunities that came my way. Days passed by gradually and opportunities started presenting themselves in front of me. A path that I initially presumed to be a dead end to my carrier would give life a different meaning and fill it with surprises.
As days passed by, I had to take a greater role for the company. It involved identifying the problems, accessing it and give out possible solutions. There was a bit of mismanagement in the company and I realized that recruitment and finance should exist in one system. I decided to get it done myself. Soon I achieved this fate. The company started adopting this all throughout its branches. It was making the job easier. Slowly and gradually I carved out my name within the member of the company. The colleagues, as well as my boss, were very happy with the work. As days passed by, people from all branches and departments of the company started to come over and consult me on various software related problems. After that, I became the go-to person for all sorts of IT problems in the company. I was enjoying my work very much The project I developed through increased my work-load but could not take away my dedication or determination.
Experience and Future Scope
I spent around 8 years of the carrier in Red Frog. My mindset about the HR department changed completely. I fell in love with the immense number of opportunities that it provided. I liked being engrossed in a problem-solving situation of the company.

But later on in my carrier did I realize one astonishing fact. I realized that I had been working as a sales consultant all throughout the carrier without realizing the fact. I started looking for a sales role in the Hr department. Luck struck early and I bagged a perfect job. I had confidence in myself. I knew that my previous experiences would make me perfect for the job. This was just the start of an unknowing field. Like stated, I excelled. I started looking for more sales centric jobs. The vast experience in the HR department did not make me an excellent salesperson. However, this field gave me the empathy to understand and relate to different situations effectively.
As someone with I experience I would like to say that one should be devoid of fear and be ready to take the path less traveled by. One will be amazed by the opportunities that a bold bath tends to offer.
