K-pop band BTS owes a lot to the CEO of their parent company HYBE. Well, now the former CEO. Bang Shi Hyuk also known as Bang PD has stepped down and the company is restructured. Park Ji Won, former CEO of HYBE Headquarters, has taken his seat, while Bang PD will serve as chairman of the board of directors. He is the one who believed in BTS before their music broke records. Here are some examples of when Bang PD went an extra mile to shower love on BTS.

As BTS won Artist of the Year at the 2018 MAMAs, group lead RM revealed that it was Bang PD who saw the band’s true potential even before they swelled. Expressing his gratitude, RM said in his speech, “In 2014 Bang PD said that I already thought that you can at least win Dasang before debut and you can be the best group in near future. Me Believe in you… Bang PD who believed in us and loved us when we were nothing.” Going an extra mile, Bang PD once attended BTS’s concert like ARMY. He stood in line for tickets and even sat on the grass waiting for the concert to begin. Imagine the CEO of a successful company doing this. Not only this, he once traveled all over London to attend one of his concerts.

Bang PD loves BTS so much that he even wrote a letter before their three-year anniversary. It was an emotional piece describing how he wants BTS to be the best group ever. Plus, did you know that after BTS Dynamite hit the Billboard charts, Bang P.D. literally cried? yes he did and here is the video

As they won the Best Producer award at the 2018 Seoul Music Awards, they didn’t forget BTS. He brought the gang on stage to accept the award with him. He really loves the gang of boys and now that he is going to focus more on production, we really hope we see him take BTS to great heights of success.
