Popular K-pop band BTS recently celebrated the 8th anniversary of the band and their fandom, known as ARMY, at an event called BTS 2021 Muster Sowozu. After Jungkook’s exit, he told his fans about his many tattoos on his arm and arm, including ARMY, BTS’ first date ‘0613’, a golden eye and a microphone. While fans seem to have embraced Jungkook’s body art, Suga once worried that ARMY might not appreciate Jungkook being tattooed like women.
During an episode of BTS American Hustle Life, Jungkook revealed that he would get inked as he grew up. He said that he was inspired by a tattoo of a woman’s neck and decided to get one. At that time he was only 16 years old. But Suga wasn’t really on Jungkook’s side.
“I always talk about this, when we all go out together, the other members can’t drink because of me. They don’t even like to drink that much, although it’s strange, not all members like to drink. .So, when I’m adults, we’re gonna go out and drink together. That’s what they said. I want to be an adult as soon as possible so all the BTS members can drink together like a party and I really I want to drive. I want to get a tattoo. The women inside have a tattoo on their bodies. So I really want one too,” Jungkook had said.
Suga stopped him to find out what he was talking about and asked him, “Why are you saying that in front of the camera? He’s out of his mind! Our fans are going to be disappointed.” To which, Jungkook replied, “I just mentioned how much I love my military. If they love us, they won’t mind. If it’s a cute, little tattoo.”
For beginners, tattoos have been a taboo subject in South Korea and that might have been the reason why Suga was so anxious to get Jungkook. But the fans have accepted him and his tattoo.
