After the monstrous success of Dynamite, BTS dropped their second English track Butter on May 21, and in no time, it became a chartbuster. The video has already garnered 3.89 million concurrent viewers, and we are waiting for YouTube to officially announce that it has broken all previous premiere records. The groovy track, where we see the Bangtan Boys shake their legs in an amazing way, has cool lyrics where they say, “Like greasy butter / Pull you like no other / Need no usher / Me To remind you’ve got it’s bad / There’s no one else / Who can sweep you like a robber / Straight up, I got it / Makin’ you fall like that.”
While the track has already become a global chartbuster, during the song’s press conference, band members Jimin and RM opened up about their topic of discussion in recent days, which pertains to ARMY. Sharing his thoughts on how to satisfy fans, Jimin said, “The most talked about topic probably relates to our 8th anniversary. We were very worried over the past 6 months, about our group as well as how we got fans. Should satisfy. Also the relationship between us and the fans. We have to show the fans a better side of ourselves, so that’s why I’m constantly worried.”
RM, on the other hand, revealed that they are talking about their future; as he said, “the most talked-about topic is our future as well as our role in this “new normal”, and why we exist, whose We make music for it. While awards like the Grammys are important, we also care the most about what kind of value BTS has and how we can leave something meaningful behind.” These statements prove yet again that the septet is more than just a boy band. They are careful and grateful and that is why they have received so much love and appreciation. We are sure, after this, his ARMY fanbase would be very proud to be a BTS fan.
