The much-awaited Friends: Reunion Special has started streaming in India on Thursday, May 27 at 12:32 pm exclusively on Zee5 and took everyone down memory lane to revisit all those heartwarming moments is. The unscripted reunion special stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer sharing their experiences working on set. And while doing so David and Jennifer, better known as Ross Geller and Rachel Green, revealed that they actually had crushes on each other as they played the onscreen couple on the show.
During the special episode, David and Jennifer opened up about their off-screen romance and how it helped them bring it to life and make it look flawless on screen. As we all know, Ross and Rachel were seen falling in love with each other during the initial episodes and then got married. When asked about their onscreen romance, Jennifer turned to David for an answer. And she said that they both had huge crushes on each other, but they didn’t cross boundaries because one of them was always in a relationship.
David said, “At some point, we were hitting hard on each other but it was passing like two ships because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary.” To which, Matt LeBlanc replied with ‘nonsense’. And made everyone laugh.
Friends: The Reunion Featured by David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliot Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck was done. James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai. Ben Winston also directed the unscripted special and executive produced with Kevin Bright, Marta Kaufman and David Crane.
The original series ran from 1994 to 2004 and continues to receive great ratings in reruns. Over a decade, Aniston played Rachel Green, Courteney Cox played Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow played Phoebe Buffet, Matt LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry played Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer played Ross Geller.
