BTS are undoubtedly one of the most popular Korean bands to have gained such worldwide recognition, be it for their unique style or music. Korean boy band Sensation won all the categories nominated at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. They were nominated in this year’s awards in four categories, Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist and Top Selling Song. And now they have collaborated with McDonald’s which will now offer an exclusive BTS meal to customers around the world. While the collaboration between McDonald’s and BTS has gotten ARMY quite excited, band members Jungkook, Jin, Jimin and Suga now recount their favorite memories on the fast-food outlet.
Jin said that before making his musical debut, he lived near McDonald’s, which was about 10 minutes from his dorm. He said that since the food shop was open 24 hours a day, they would often come to satisfy their hunger and have a good time with each other asking ‘how was your day?’
Jungkook said he remembers the time he spent during his early career. To which, Jimin said that he associated his high school years with McDonald’s as he always stopped by during his long commutes. “There was a McDonald’s at the express bus terminal, so I always, always ate there, went to my afternoon classes every day,” Jimin said.
Suga, on the other hand, states that he associates McDonald’s with his family because they will bribe him with fries. “When you’re younger, if your parents ask you to tag along at the mall, saying they’ll bring me McDonald’s fries, I’ll go,” he said.
Well, looks like their collaboration just keeps getting bigger and better. For beginners, the BTS meal includes a 9-10 piece Chicken McNuggets, a medium world famous fries, a medium drink and two dipping sauces. It also introduces 2 new McDonald’s Dipping Sauces (Cajun and Sweet Chili Sauce) in the United States.
BTS has released their second English single, Butter, after Dynamite. The song’s music video broke its own record for biggest music video premiere on YouTube, racking up a peak concurrent of 3.9 million upon its release on Friday.
